Over my summer break I gained invaluable hands-on experience across psychology — observing and taking part in individual and group therapy sessions, helping review and compile assessment reports for conditions like ADHD and autism, and supporting admin such as scheduling and billing. I even took on creative work, updating the clinic's website and building slides for the new Animal-Assisted Programme. It deepened my passion for supporting others through psychology.— Roann · Year 4 Psychology Major, National University of Singapore
These three months have been the most enriching. I observed individual and group sessions and saw theory come to life, learned how to communicate with clients and their families, and was exposed to the diagnostic process — from parent-interview notes to scoring tests and reviewing reports. The admin side showed me how much goes into running a clinic smoothly. I'm so grateful for everything the team patiently taught me.— Zi Xin · Year 4 Psychology Major, National University of Singapore
My internship was rewarding and eye-opening. The team is welcoming and patient, which makes the clinic collaborative and fun. I observed sessions and scored assessments, then discussed the results with the psychologist to understand how they connect to each child's needs. I saw how occupational therapists make sessions engaging, interacted with the children, and created age-appropriate resources for speech-therapy clients — a truly inspiring experience.— Cynthia · Year 4 Psychology Major, Singapore Management University
My summer internship gave me real insight into the allied-health sector. I observed and joined individual therapy and social group sessions, saw the impact different therapies have on children's lives, and learned how a multidisciplinary team collaborates. The team patiently answered all my questions while I supported assessments, admin tasks and resource creation. It broadened my perspective and inspired me to pursue a similar path.— Rachel · Year 4 Psychology Major, National University of Singapore

Frequently asked questions
Due to the sensitive nature of our work, we take on students and young adults in higher education. We prioritise university students with relevant studies who can commit for at least three months.
The internship is unpaid.
Interns are meaningfully engaged in a variety of tasks inside and outside of therapy sessions, and are expected to be professional and help with the clinic's administrative duties where needed. There will be opportunities to join appropriate sessions when the therapist feels the intern is ready — and always with the consent of clients.
