Why group therapy works

Practising skills where they matter

Individual therapy allows learning to be customised to your child's needs — but children also need to apply those skills in real-world situations. That's where group therapy becomes crucial. Children who struggle with social communication, impulse control, emotional regulation and forming friendships benefit from practising with peers in a natural, supportive environment.

Social skills we build: verbal & non-verbal communication, turn-taking and sharing, emotion recognition and regulation, perspective-taking and empathy, and social problem-solving.

What happens in a session?

Preschoolers: circle time, storytelling with social scenarios, cooperative play, emotion games, turn-taking and snack-time social learning.

Lower primary: conversation skills, cooperative games, flexible thinking (Superflex), and structured group discussions.

Upper primary & teens: navigating peer pressure, managing emotions and stress, building friendships, reflective sharing, and digital & social-media etiquette.
