Yu Wan Ling
Senior Speech Therapist
Wan Ling believes that forging meaningful relationships is important to every individual, and that communication sits at the heart of them. Through intervention, she hopes to help children explore ways to better communicate their needs and thoughts, and sees parents and caregivers as invaluable partners — enjoying learning with and from each family.
She began her career as a teacher in a special school in 2004. Her four years as a special educator gave her a clearer understanding of children’s needs, and led her to pursue a Master of Speech & Language Pathology at the National University of Singapore. Since graduating she has worked with children with autism, hearing loss, intellectual disability, feeding difficulties, and speech and language disorders, across mainstream schools, early-intervention centres and special schools.
Wan Ling is keen on clinical education, has supervised students and junior therapists, and is a firm believer in continual professional development.
