Raine Too
Certified Play Therapist
Raine believes a child learns most and heals most effectively when given a supportive, caring relationship with their family and community. She sees every child as unique, with strengths to be acknowledged and cultivated, and is a strong advocate for the power of play as a medium for both learning and self-expression. As a parent herself, she hopes to empower families in their child’s development and healing journey.
She began her career as an early-childhood educator with a passion for inclusive education, working with children with developmental needs in the US, London and Singapore. In 2008 she completed a Master of Special Needs Early Childhood Education at Columbia University, Teachers College, New York, and on returning to Singapore helped spearhead a National Early Intervention programme across a network of childcare centres.
She has used play to support children experiencing anxiety, anger, depression and other social-emotional and behavioural difficulties, and is a firm believer in continual professional development.
