Jia Wen is a fun-loving and dedicated speech therapist whose passion for her work shines through in every interaction. With a dynamic and energetic approach, she strives to make each therapy session a positive, engaging experience for her young clients. Whether she’s working on speech clarity, language development, or social communication skills, Jia Wen creates an environment where children feel empowered and excited to communicate in their own unique ways. She truly believes that therapy should be a joyful journey, tailored to each child’s individual needs and interests.

Jia Wen’s journey into speech therapy began in the hospital setting, where she gained invaluable experience working with people with communication challenges. This experience has deepened her understanding of the emotional and psychological needs of families navigating challenging circumstances. Her ability to listen attentively and empathize with both children and parents has become a cornerstone of her practice, allowing her to build strong, trusting relationships with families.

Having transitioned to both school and private practice settings, Jia Wen’s experience has become even more diverse, enriching her ability to meet the needs of a wide range of children. She has worked in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with teachers, psychologists, and other therapists to provide comprehensive, family-centred care. Jia Wen is also deeply committed to neurodiversity-affirming practices, recognizing that each child’s brain works in its own unique way. She creates individualized, strengths-based interventions that honour each child’s natural abilities while offering the support they need to thrive.
Outside of work, Jia Wen enjoys spending time with her family and friends, making delicious and hearty meals for people she loves.
