Jia Wen is a fun-loving speech therapist who wholeheartedly believes in the child-directed approach, where she follows the interests of the child, in order for the child to be engaged and motivated to communicate. Jia Wen’s philosophy centres around the importance of family in the development of a child, recognising that the family unit plays a crucial role in nurturing and guiding children towards their full potential.

Jia Wen was awarded the MOHH scholarship to pursue her undergraduate studies in Australia, where she graduated with a Bachelor degree Speech Pathology with Honours. She has spent over 5 years working in a major hospital, with a strong interest in the rehabilitation setting. She found her greatest joy when she saw her clients regain their communication skills. After working in the hospital, Jia Wen continued to pursue her interest in communication development in a special school and clinic setting. She has experience in working with children, and teenagers, with a diagnosis in global developmental delay, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, and other disabilities.
Karmen is familiar and experienced in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and she is certified in numerous speech therapy related programs. They include:
