SENIOR SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST

Rebecca is a fun-loving therapist who enjoys working with children and their families. She believes in the power of teamwork and collaboration (with families, professionals, and/or schools) in order to understand the child holistically, and therefore provide meaningful interventions. In her therapy sessions, she seeks to create a safe space where children and their families can learn, grow and achieve their fullest potential.

Rebecca began her career as an NCSS scholar and later went on to be part of the Sun Ray Scheme serving the social service sector. Over the many years, she has had the privilege of working in a plethora of social service settings such as child development units, therapy hubs, early intervention centres, preschools, schools (special education and mainstream) and private therapy centres.

Rebecca has enjoyed being a therapist (and friend) to a wide variety of children with delays (e.g. Speech and language disorders) and developmental conditions (e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorders, Hearing Loss, Down syndrome, medically fragile population). She has worked with children who present with mild to severe difficulties in speech, language, communication, feeding and/or overall child development. Rebecca is also a big advocate for inclusion and had previously been involved in inclusion projects at a preschool and EIPIC level.

Rebecca believes that being a good therapist involves continuous hard work, humility and heart. Over the years she has continued to hone her skills through various courses and certifications as listed below:
